ABOUT ME

My color knowledge comes from 30 years of experience as an artist and visual art educator. As an artist, I use color as a “language” to express intangible ideas and emotions in a painting composition. My large format, oil paintings feature vivid colors, 24K gold leaf, and a myriad of collage materials. I find that colorful paintings serve as color accents and “injections of color” on muted, neutral walls. My paintings have been featured in area galleries and have won “Best in Show” in local exhibitions.

As professor in Texas State University’s School of Art & Design, I introduced color theory, critical color relationships and the effect color can have on human behavior to young artists. We traveled to the most vibrant venues in Italy to study color in natural light. Although I have retired from teaching, I enjoy helping clients learn about color as they make their selections. I am very passionate about color and excited to show clients in the San Antonio area how new colors can transform their homes.
